The Los Angeles Dodgers have lost a ton of pitchers to injuries this season, but Monday they’re getting a pretty good one back. After not pitching at all in his first season with the Dodgers due to elbow surgery in 2023, Shohei Ohtani is returning to the pitchers mound. Ohtani made 86 starts from 2018-23 with the Angels, posting a 3.01 ERA with 608 strikeouts and a top-5 finish in Cy Young voting in 2022. When Ohtani takes the bump on Monday night against the San Diego Padres he’ll make Dodgers history by breaking Don Drysdale’s record for most home runs as a Dodger with at least one start at pitcher.
