Operating five weekly outdoor farmers markets and seven farm stands at MARTA stations is one of the strategies by which the organization addresses food access in Atlanta. CFM also offers educational programming in the community, financial incentives to make local food more affordable, and professional development for small businesses. See you at the farmers markets!

Broccoli Kohlrabi Salad Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • Broccoli
  • Purple kohlrabi (any color works)
  • Georgia Blu Digestif (this is a vinegar; you can use any kind of vinegar or acid)
  • Local honey
  • Mayo
  • Salt
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Directions:

  1. This is a short and sweet recipe but the most important thing is to cut and chop your broccoli into small pieces and slice your kohlrabi into thin pieces. This won’t be cooked down so the smaller a raw vegetable is, the more palatable!
  2. Chop pecans or leave whole.
  3. Mix together mayo, salt to your tasting, a splash of vinegar, some honey, and sesame seeds (optional).
  4. Thoroughly mix the ingredients together and then toss with the veggies and pecans.
