Filed police complaint
In 2024, Nitish filed a police complaint against his wife for alleging harassment and accused her of not letting him meet his daughters. He even said that his wife has been changing their daughter’s school to not let him meet them. In an interaction with Telly Talk India, Nitish said, “In this marriage, I have faced extreme amounts of abuse of all sorts, and even now with parental alienation, my two children are being taken away from me. If I tell you only the two lines my 11-year-old daughters told me, ‘Papa, we are disgusted to call you our father,’ this is what one child told me. Why is the child saying this after doing everything?”
Ex-wife refutes all claims
Smita Gate called a press meet and said that the claims made by the actor against her of abducting her own daughters were false statements made to malign her image. She said, “Nitish himself has claimed that he has communicated with my daughters on the same landline number. His assertion of being unaware of the phone number is false and misleading. Moreover, he has been furnished with a dedicated email address for communication on that email address in the past.”
