With one season left on DeAndre Ayton’s four-year, $132.9-million contract with the Portland Trailblazers, the former No. 1-overall NBA draft pick has negotiated a buyout from the Blazers to become a free agent.
Ayton combined to play in just 95 games in two seasons in Portland and despite concerns about his motor that followed him from Phoenix to the Pacific Northwest, the 7’0″ center should receive interest on the market once free agency officially opens.
