Dispersal orders have been issued over the past two weeks following an increase in anti-social behaviour in the area.
But on Saturday, officers who were patrolling the suburb attended reports of a criminal damage offence that had taken place in a shop.
A 14-year-old and a 15-year-old were both arrested at the scene on suspicion of criminal damage.
Hampshire police officers are now conducting high visibility patrols and will continue to do so over the “coming weeks”, a social media post said.
PC Tom Byrne, the local bobby in Shirley, said: “If anyone has any concerns or questions please do feel free to speak to officers when they are out and about on patrol in the area.”
In a separate incident, a 14-year-old from Southampton was interviewed in relation to multiple offences that have taken place in the Shirley High Street area.
