Police officer shoots at dog near Boston Public Library – Boston News, Weather, Sports

BOSTON (WHDH) – A police officer shot at a dog near the Boston Public Library on Boylston Street Thursday morning.

The incident happened just before 9:30 a.m.

The dog took off and ran through the Boston Common, toward Downtown Crossing, where Boston police used their stun guns several times to take the dog down.

Boston police say no people were injured. They say the officer who shot at the dog was taken to the hospital, which is standard procedure any time an officer fires their gun.

No other information was immediately available.
