NASCAR driver punished for comments about Mexico City

Two days after Carson Hocevar finished 34th in the NASCAR Cup Series race in Mexico City, Spire Motorsports fined the second-year driver $50,000 after he made insensitive comments about Mexico City during a Twitch livestream. 

Hocevar, who commonly streams on Twitch, called Mexico City a, “(expletive) hole” while discussing the experience of participating in the first international Cup Series points race since 1958.
