Hampshire Constabulary stated that the incident occurred on the M27, where officers observed a vehicle “lane hogging” and attempted to encourage the driver to move into the correct lane without success.
Police say they pulled up alongside the driver and found them texting on their phone.

A police spokesperson said: “This vehicle was seen lane hogging on the M27.
“After failed attempts to encourage the driver to use the correct lane, we pulled up alongside to find the driver texting away on their phone.
“Ticket issued and worse still, driver now faces being placed on the naughty list so close to Christmas.”
