In their second winter of operations from the airport, the airline and tour operator will offer 11 winter sun destinations, with a new winter route to Malaga.

The new route will allow customers in the region to access the Spanish city for the first time next winter with Jet2.

The company has put more than 110,000 seats on sale for next winter, an increase in capacity of more than 34 per cent compared to winter 2025/26.

The expanded programme is in response to demand from holidaymakers wanting to escape the long British winter.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “We are seeing continued demand from customers wanting to escape the long British winter, so we have stepped in and put our Winter 26/27 programme on sale from Bournemouth Airport.

“The launch of our most exciting winter sun programme comes in just our second winter of operations from our newest base.

“We are delighted to be launching a brand-new winter route to Malaga and giving customers and independent travel agents even more choice and flexibility for next winter.

“As ever, we have designed our programme in direct response to ongoing demand from holidaymakers in the south of England, Bournemouth, Southampton, Portsmouth and the wider region, and this expansion demonstrates just how popular our flights and holidays continue to be.”

During peak periods, the airline and tour operator will operate more than 20 weekly outbound flights.

Steve Gill, managing director of Bournemouth Airport, said: “This expanded Winter Sun programme from Jet2.com and Jet2holidays is a great boost for Bournemouth Airport and our passengers.
