Through the silent quietness of timely dawn,
A time when silence touched the lawn,
The stone rolled, tomb is empty and bare,
Life exploded from despair.
Something happened, earth moved, heavens stirred,
A sweet voice, His pledge heard,
“In three days’ time, I will arise,”
Gloom is gone, behold the skies.
The fabric enfolded, the grave unbound,
Optimism returns, we see the holy ground,
Heavenlies rejoice, their voices soothing, shining so bright
Nothing to fear, darkness lost, he defeated “night”
Endless tears Mary shed, but Alas she beheld,
Jesus is risen, what a reveal, He is no longer dead.
Go tell it on the mountain, this news has brought us light,
Death has lost its sting, hope rises, hallelujah, life takes flight.
His mission is clear, His goal to reach out to all,
To ensure our life is whole and nothing to make us stall.
He went through agony and experienced strife,
At the end, we rejoice, now we enjoy a new life.
We acknowledge His death, we celebrate His resurrection,
With joyful hearts, our lives changed because of His ascension.
He broke the chains, He made a way,
What a decision He made, what a grace, what a day!
We remember Him this season, every nation, in every sphere,
His story has become the living truth, all the time and everywhere,
In death He gave His all,
He rose, we’re redemption sure!
