I’m proud to be running the 129th Boston Marathon as part of the Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries’ Marathon Team. This will be my 11th marathon and seventh time fundraising, and each race has meant something special – but this one carries a unique sense of purpose.
As someone who believes strongly in breaking down barriers to employment, I run to show that perseverance can open doors. Every stride I take represents opportunity – for people who are trying to overcome challenges and build better lives through meaningful work. That’s why I’m supporting Goodwill and its mission to empower individuals through job training and career services.
My goal is to raise $6,000, and I’m tapping into my network and past fundraising experience to get there. I’ve completed 10 marathons – including three Boston Marathons – and I’m currently averaging 20 miles a week at an 8-minute pace. I’m hoping to finish this year’s race in three hours and 30 minutes.
Running for Goodwill reminds me that the finish line isn’t just a personal milestone – it’s a way to uplift others. I’m honored to contribute to this cause and to represent an organization that’s changing lives across our community.
