Exploring CBME Türkiye: Where Heritage Meets Innovation in the Heart of Istanbul

Date:

Istanbul is a city with a soul unlike any other — a place where centuries-old history stands shoulder to shoulder with bold modernity. It’s a city painted in contrasts: colorful yet monochrome, warm in hospitality yet fierce with the Bosphorus winds. Istanbul isn’t just visited; it is felt. You need to experience it to truly believe it.

This December 3–6, 2025, we had the unique opportunity to immerse ourselves in CBME Türkiye — the largest baby and kids’ trade show in the Middle East region. Set against the vibrant backdrop of Istanbul, the show once again proved why Türkiye remains one of the most influential global players in the children’s fashion and textile industry in the region.

At Junior Style, we have spotlighted Turkish brands many times before and have especially warm relationships with this country. Türkiye’s textile heritage is legendary, and its craftsmanship continues to evolve with creativity, innovation, and global relevance. CBME Türkiye reaffirmed this reputation and opened doors to new possibilities for brands and buyers alike.

Walking the Aisles — And Then the Streets of Istanbul

After exploring the vast halls of the show, discovering stands overflowing with creativity and fresh design perspectives, we selected our favorite looks from standout Turkish brands. But instead of presenting them in a traditional trade show setup, we wanted something more authentic — something that captured Istanbul’s spirit and brought fresh inspiration to our audience.

So, we took to the streets.

Our Junior Style mini ambassador, Angelica, flew in from Italy to join us on this adventure. Together, we played dress-up among Istanbul’s urban textures — from grand Bosphorus views to narrow streets bustling with energy, to quiet corners of the city where ancient architecture frames modern life. We traveled by ferry boat to see the city from the water, ate warm simits, and admired the layers of history and breathtaking architecture. The result was a vibrant editorial blending fashion with the raw beauty of a city steeped in culture.

A Gateway to New Markets

CBME Türkiye offers something rare: the chance to test and tap into markets that differ significantly from Europe or the USA.

For brands, it’s an opportunity to connect with buyers from regions they may not naturally reach — markets with unique needs, tastes, and purchasing behaviors.
For buyers, CBME presents access to top-tier products at strong price points, supported by Türkiye’s world-renowned textile quality.

In our editorial, we wanted to emphasize that Türkiye is not only the home of exquisite special-occasion wear — although that category is beautifully represented — but also innovative contemporary brands shaping the global childrenswear landscape.

A Celebration of Craft, Culture & Global Possibility

Our visit to CBME Türkiye was more than a trade show experience — it was a reminder of why Istanbul continues to inspire the world. It is a city that embraces contrast, celebrates creativity, and welcomes innovation.

For Junior Style, it was a privilege to walk its streets, discover new brands, and introduce its fashion story to our global audience.

CBME Türkiye is not just a destination — it is a bridge between cultures, markets, and visions. And we cannot wait to return.
