Officers from the Hampshire Roads Policing Unit’s C shift, spotted the vehicle during patrols late on December 24. Checks revealed the car was being driven without insurance.
Following a search of the vehicle, officers discovered a quantity of cash and suspected drugs inside.
The driver was arrested at the scene and remains in police custody.

He has been arrested on suspicion of driving without insurance, possession of class A drugs and possession of criminal property. The vehicle has also been seized as part of the investigation.
A spokesperson for the Roads Policing Team said officers would continue to target uninsured drivers and tackle drug-related harm on Hampshire’s roads.
Police added that proactive patrols over the festive period were aimed at keeping communities safe.
