DMF Evolve is a popular gym offering personalised coaching

DMF Evolve in Chandler’s Ford specialises in small group personal training with members enjoying some big weight loss wins this year.

Gym-goers finished an eight week ‘biggest loser’ challenge to kick start 2025 by losing 151kg of fat, the weight of a baby African elephant.

They also walked a total of 36.4 million steps during the challenge, one of those that DMF trainers regularly design to help members get in good shape by developing good nutrition and fitness habits and by working as a team to help motivate each other.

Whether you’re new to fitness or looking to break through a plateau, DMF Evolve offers a supportive and effective environment to help you reach your health and fitness goals with personalised attention and community coaching.

Founded by Dan Mitchell in 2016, DMF has grown steadily over the years and now proudly supports more than 100 members.

Training sessions are deliberately kept small—no more than eight people per group—to ensure every member receives the focus and support they need from the dedicated coaching team.

“At DMF, we build tailored programmes to help each individual reach their goals. It’s not just about getting fit—it’s about creating a healthy lifestyle, learning about movement, and understanding nutrition.

“At DMF Evolve, the philosophy goes beyond the gym floor. The team educates members on how to build a sustainable, healthy environment at home and emphasizes the importance of nutrition alongside training.”

“You can’t exercise your way out of a bad diet. We focus on eating for health, wellbeing, performance, strength, and both mental and physical health.”

DMF was one of the finalists in the recent Daily Echo Gym of the Year contest.

After a fierce but friendly public vote, women-only gym Curves in Eastleigh emerged victorious, boasting a tailored approach to women’s fitness, vibrant support network, and welcoming environment.
