Totton Tesco Express hit by thieves during the night

The Tesco Express on Watson Walk in Totton was broken into overnight on Saturday, with thieves stealing cash from the store’s register.

Police are now investigating the break-in and are asking anyone with information or who might have seen the incident to come forward.

Police at the scene of the break-in (Image: NQ) A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: “The Tesco store on Watson Walk was broken into at about 2.15am this morning and cash was stolen from the till.

“Enquiries are ongoing.

“Anyone with information should call 101 quoting reference 44250323756.”

A sign has been erected outside the shop that states it will be closed until further notice.

The sign reads: “Due to a break-in the shop will be closed until further notice.

“Due to measures beyond our control we will be unable to process anything to do with Evri.”
