Barton Peveril Sixth Form College in Eastleigh has officially opened a new £9.5 million Art and Design building.
The ceremony was led by designer Wayne Hemingway MBE, founder of Hemingway Design and co-founder of the fashion brand Red or Dead, who has also contributed to the regeneration of Eastleigh town centre.
Rob Temple, principal of Barton Peveril, said: “This is an exceptional space for our students, designed specifically for the needs of the art courses we run at Barton.

The 1,850-square-metre building will support students studying fine art, photography and moving image, graphic communications, textiles and product design.
It also includes dedicated facilities for UAL level four Foundation Art and Design students.
Barton Peveril educates more than 4,900 full-time students aged 16 to 18 from across south-central Hampshire, including Eastleigh, Fareham, Romsey, Southampton and Winchester.
The college offers a wide range of A-level and vocational courses to support student progression into higher education and employment.
