“Love Island USA” is back for Season 7. The initial batch of islanders have officially entered the villa, and as of June 3, audiences are along for the ride with new nightly episodes.
Peacock revealed the first 10 singles looking for love back in May.
“I was in a nine year relationship. He left me. I’m glad he broke my heart because look at me here,” islander Yulissa Escobar said in a teaser video. “I want my man to nurture me.”
Fellow cast member Huda Mustafa, who hails from Raleigh, North Carolina, also said she’s ready to meet her soulmate — and she knows just what she’s looking for.
“I’m looking for somebody who is my lifelong partner. I don’t want a guy who’s at the club texting a million different girls. I’m tired of going on stupid dates. ‘Love Island,’ find me a man!” she said.
Contestant Austin Shepard added, “I’m ready for the summer of my life!”
When they entered the villa, they did not disappoint. Huda, Yulissa and Austin made their grand entrances during the Season 7 premiererriving in style before quickly getting to know the other OG islanders.
Then, host Ariana Madix informed the islanders that it was time for them to couple up, forming the first couples of Season 7. But, there was a twist. Madix shared that this year, each of the women would kiss the two men they wanted to partner with the most. After comparing the kisses, they decided which physical connection they preferred.
By the end of the lip-locking fest, five couples were ready to officially start their “Love Island USA” journey together. But they couldn’t get too comfortable. Madix returned the following night with a tempting offer to the islanders and two secret bombshells.
As narrator and comedian Iain Stirling teased in the preview for the next episode, it seems some drama and tears are already on the way.
