Despite poor attendance, the so-called “Summer of Soccer” in the United States is still delivering dramatic moments.
The Canadian National Team looked well on its way to securing a spot in the CONCACAF Gold Cup knock-out stage, up 1-0 over groupmate Curacao past the 90th minute.
But Curacaoan forward Jeremy Antonisse had other ideas. He stormed past the Canadian defense in the 94th minute after receiving a long ball pass on the left wing and buried the equalizer past goaltender Dayne St. Clair.
