His mother Angela has since set up the George Dillon Only a Dream Away CIC to support people with traumatic head injuries.

The 12-mile tractor Christmas parade ‘Dingle and His Trusty Deere Save Christmas’ started at the Winsor Inn, Totton, and went through Copythorne, Cadnam, Bartley, Totton, Netley Marsh and Calmore areas on Saturday December 13. It raised £980.09 for the George Dillon Only a Dream Away CIC.

The 19-year-old loved Christmas and felt the convoy was a fitting way to remember him and bring joy to the community, according to Angela.

She rode in a well-decorated trailer at the front of the convoy, which was being pulled by George’s own tractor, being driven by one of his close friends.

She said: “It is not about raising money, it is about giving something back to the community and giving the children a little bit of Christmas spirit.”
