This short film features the young version of the Bollywood superstar, and he was unrecognisable for a few seconds. Can you guess who he is?
Bollywood industry
The Bollywood industry is known for its vibrant music, dance, and drama, and has produced some of the most iconic films in the world. These are not just films but an emotion.
Bollywood’s biggest star
This particular actor is one of Bollywood’s biggest stars, and his films are considered some of the best. Some of his films are based on education and gender equality, and have a positive impact on society in India or abroad.
Aamir Khan
The actor we are talking about is none other than Aamir Khan. He was born on 14 March 1965. He is the son of producer Tahir Hussain and was introduced to movies at a young age.
Debut movie
He made his Bollywood debut as a hero in the film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988), which earned him a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. Since then, he has never turned back and has kept on producing more and more films.
Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak
However, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak was not Aamir Khan’s first on-screen film; he was seen in a short film before. He made his screen debut as a grown-up adult actor with the short film Subah Subah.
Film and Television Institute of India
The movie was a diploma film for the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, and Aamir played the main role. In the short film, Aamir was unrecognisable for a few seconds. The movie featured Aamir Khan in a romantic dance number with his co-star, paying homage to Shashi Kapoor and Neetu Singh’s classic song Keh Do Tumhe from the film Deewaar.
YouTube
When the short film was uploaded on YouTube, it quickly went viral, and many stormed the internet and one of the users wrote, I have read that Aamir was happy to act in this FTII film since he did not get a chance to study there. He would hang around the campus looking for an acting chance. After school, he delayed applying to FTII and the application date passed. So he assisted his uncle, producer-director Nasir Hussain.
Fans reaction
Another added, Wonderful Aamir Khan. Sad that he is now nearly 60. And he has decided to quit movies or will act in very very few movies going fwd. I wish at least 20 more masterpiece movies he would make or act in them. A third penned, Aamir Khan is largely the same how he looked 42 years back in 1983. He still looks like a youngster and hardly any change in his face.
