Team USA MBB Ends FISU World University Games as Silver Medalists

Date:

ESSEN, Germany (BAYLOR) – After a week of competition and six games played, Team USA, represented by Baylor men’s basketball, ended the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games as silver medalists after dropping a heartbreaker in overtime to Team Brazil, 94-88.

Team USA held a lead as high as 20 points in the third quarter but couldn’t hold its momentum from Team Brazil’s physical game play and fiery offense, scoring 35 points in the fourth to force overtime and take the gold.

Wyoming-transfer guard, Obi Agbim, put up big numbers for USA with a tournament-high of 30 points, 11 rebounds, three steals and two assists. Cameron Carr also contributed heavily with 26 points.
