AUSTIN, Texas – After a dominating opener against Trinidad and Tobago, the United States men’s soccer team will host Saudi Arabia in their latest CONCACAF Gold Cup match today – Thursday, June 19 – at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas. The match is available on multiple streaming services for free.

The United States channeled swirling drama and frustration to bury Trinidad and Tobago in their Gold Cup opener, 5-0.
The competition was subpar, but the Americans looked impressive in their first action of the tournament. It was a welcomed sight for head coach Mauricio Pochettino after his squad’s abysmal showing in friendlies against Turkey and Switzerland. In total the United States was shutout twice and outscored 8-3 in the lead-up to the Gold Cup.
The win snapped a four-match losing streak and reignites some confidence.
Malik Tillman nabbed a pair of goals while Patrick Agyemang, Haji Wright and Brenden Aaronson each chipped in a score for the opener against Trinidad and Tobago.
The Americans led 3-0 at halftime.
In a truly dominant display of soccer, the United States grabbed 70.5% possession, and goalkeeper Matt Freese needed just three saves against the Soca Warriors.
The last time the United States faced Saudi Arabia was during a friendly back in September 2022. It was the send-off before the World Cup. The Saudis were the only team to defeat eventual World Champion Argentina in that tournament.
A win secures six points in the group and a spot in the knockout stages of the quarterfinals. The Americans have won their group in 16 of 17 Gold Cups.
The United States remain without players Christian Pulisic, Yunus Musah, who were left off the roster at the request of rest. Gio Reyna, Weston McKennie and Tim Weah are all occupied with inaugural FIFA Club World Cup duties. Sergiño Dest and Antonee Robinson are dealing with injury.
Tyler Adams (turf toe) is expected to return for today’s game after missing the Gold Cup opener.

Similar to the Americans, the Saudis are missing some key pieces due to the FIFA Club World Cup, specifically the participation of club Al-Hilal, and some other players who have requested rest.
