Skales “Shake Body” rocks Barcelona Copa del Rey Party becomes anthem, meets Lamine Yamal
Nigerian music star Skales finally met Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal after his 2015 hit song “Shake Body” became the anthem of Barcelona’s Copa del Rey celebrations.
The meeting came in the aftermath of Barcelona’s thrilling 3-2 victory over Real Madrid at the Estadio La Cartuja de Sevilla, where goals from Pedri, Ferran Torres, and Jules Kounde secured the title for the Catalan giants.

In the jubilant celebrations that followed, Yamal was spotted dancing with his teammates to Shake Body, further cementing the song’s viral resurgence. This wasn’t the first time the teenage star had embraced the track during international duty with Spain; Yamal, Nico Williams, and Samu Omorodion had also danced to the song, sparking a viral #ShakeBodyChallenge on social media.
Skales, who performed at Barcelona’s victory party, shared the moment of his meeting with Yamal via Instagram, posting a heartfelt caption.

The revival of Shake Body has had a massive impact on Skales’ career. Following Yamal’s viral TikTok video, the track garnered over 13.5 million views, pushing Skales past 1 million monthly Spotify listeners for the first time in his career.
Adding to the excitement ahead of the final, Skales also shared a lively video of dancing with Lamine Yamal’s mother, Sheila Ebana, and his younger brother, Keyne, a moment that further endeared him to the Barcelona community.
