Mika Singh, who is known for his hit songs like Bas Ek King, Mauja Hi Mauja, Ibn-e-Batuta, Dhanno, Dhinka Chika, Chinta Ta Chita and many more, recently shared a humble yet a little embarrassing moment which involves the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan. During a talk on Shubhankar Mishra’s Podcast on YouTube, the singer revealed how he entered Big B’s Diwali party uninvited, and that moment of embarrassment taught him a lesson.
Recalling the incident, Mika said, “I went to Amitabh Bachchan’s house on Diwali and just drove my Hummer through the gate, without any invitation. I had a big car, and the guards must have thought I was a big star and opened the gates. I drove around two to three times, and eventually, Amitabh sir told me to come inside rather than do that. I felt really embarrassed.”
The singer further said, “Once I entered, I saw all the big stars standing around to meet him. Mr. Ambani and Sachin Tendulkar were also there. I felt out of place and started to back away. That’s when Amitabh sir called out to me in front of everyone and asked me to wait. He didn’t have to do that, but he did it so I could meet everyone.”
Mika Singh has long been a vocal admirer of Amitabh Bachchan, consistently praising the legendary actor’s humility and respect for others in the industry. He has also expressed similar admiration for Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan.
In another interview with Lallantop, Mika Singh shared a funny incident when his brother, singer Daler Mehndi, pulled a prank on him pretending to be Amitabh Bachchan’s number and told him that his brother Mika wanted to talk to him. “Mr. Bachchan, here, my brother Mika wants to talk to you,” he said over the call. Mika Singh respectfully answered a call from someone claiming to be Amitabh Bachchan, engaging in conversation before realising it was an impostor.
Moreover, Mika Singh also revealed that he had stopped sending messages to Big B as he lacked a reply to his invitations. However, the singer was left in awe when Big B called him over during a shoot and mentioned that he always looked forward to Mika’s messages and enquired as to why he had stopped sending them. This experience further deepened Mika’s respect and admiration for Amitabh Bachchan’s humility and kindness.
