Shah Rukh Khan
Shah Rukh Khan, the king of Bollywood, is known all over the world for his films and charisma. Despite losing both of his parents at a very young age, he made a name for himself in the industry.
Superstar
However, the superstar is not from an ordinary family, and neither was his father an ordinary man. Recently, there was a detailed discussion about his father on Reddit, which also mentioned Aamir Khan’s great-grandfather.
Meer Taj Mohammed Khan
Meer Taj Mohammed Khan was Shah Rukh Khan’s father. After India gained independence, Khan’s father also made his mark in politics. He contested the election from Gurgaon in 1957.
Election results
The election results didn’t favour him. Meer Taj Mohammed Khan failed to secure a single vote as the people voted for only two candidates, one of whom was Congress’s Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the great-grandfather of actor Aamir Khan.
Aamir Khan
Aamir Khan is the great-grandnephew of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, a Muslim scholar and senior political leader. Aamir’s grandmother was the niece of Azad. In this way, he became the actor’s great-grandfather.
