The box office game always draws attention. Currently, two Bollywood films – Bhool Chuk Maaf and Raid 2 – are entertaining the masses. Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi’s comedy drama Bhool Chuk Maaf release on May 23. Though the makers wanted the film to get a direct-to-OTT release amid India-Pakistan tension, the film was eventually released in theatres. As per the box office numbers, Bhool Chuk Maaf has managed to get a decent business over the first week. Talking about Raid 2, Ajay Devgn’s film is running successfully in theatres over 29 days. As reported by Sacnilk.com, Rajkummar Rao’s Bhool Chuk Maaf made around Rs 3.33 crore on first Thursday, i.e., day 7. On day 6, the film had made around Rs 3.5 crore. It witnessed a gradual drop in numbers over the weekdays as on day 5, the movie had made around Rs 4.75 crore. On day 4, it made approximately Rs 4.5 crore. The film clocked the highest number on day 3, first Sunday, as it made around Rs 11.5 crore. The total collection of the film after first week is approximately Rs 44.1 crore. It is a decent collection as compared to many other films that released recently and tanked at the box office.
Talking about Raid 2, Ajay Devgn’s film has registered itself in the list of box office hits. Even on day 29, it witnessed footfalls in theatres. The movie made around Rs 65 lakhs on day 29. The total collection of the movie is Rs 165.05 crore.
Comparing both the films, Raid 2 had made around Rs 95.75 crore in its first week. Bhool Chuk Maaf has made half of Raid 2 collection in seven days according to the reports.
The films now have time till June 6 to mint money at the box office. Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh’s multi-starrer Housefull 5 is going to hit the theatres on June 6.
