
Atlanta’s iconic hip hop duo OutKast will be one of the 2025 inductees into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Also in the class are Cyndi Lauper, Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Soundgarden, The White Stripes, Thom Bell, Nicky Hopkins, Carol Kaye, Salt-n-Pepa, Lenny Waronker, and Warren Zevon. The inductees were announced during a special Rock & Roll Hall of Fame episode of “American Idol” on Sunday night.
“Each of these inductees created their own sound and attitude that had a profound impact on culture and helped to change the course of Rock & Roll forever,” said John Sykes, Chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, in a press release,
To be eligible, artists must be at least 25 years past the release of their first commercial recording.
Andre “Andre 3000″ Benjamin and Antwan “Big Boi” Patton burst onto the hip hop scene in 1994 with their album “Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik.”
