Thailand’s Opal Suchata Chuangsri has been crowned Miss World 2025 in Hyderabad. India’s Nandini Gupta was successful in making it to the top 20.
Thailand’s Opal Suchata Chuangsri has been successful in surpassing all contestants to win the 72nd Miss World title. Opal Suchata was crowned by Miss World 2024 Krystyna Pyszkova during the finale ceremony that was held in Telangana’s HITEX Exhibition Centre on May 31. While Ethiopia’s Hasset Dereje bagged first runner-up position, Maja Klajda from Poland won the second runner-up title. Martinique’s Aurlie Joachim was also part of the top four.

For the 72nd Miss World finale, about 108 contestants from across the globe participated. India’s Nandini Gupta managed to make it to the top 20.
The current edition of the coveted beauty pageant was hosted by Stephanie del Valle. She had bagged the Miss World 2016 title. She stunned in a traditional Indian lehenga for the event. She was accompanied by Sachiin Kumbhar. The grand event also saw live performances by actors Jacqueline Fernandez and Ishaan Khatter.
The 72nd Miss World pageant was judged by actor Sonu Sood, who was also honored with the Miss World Humanitarian Award. Among other jury members were Sudha Reddy – the 2025 Global Ambassador for Beauty With a Purpose – along with Dr Caryna Turrell. Dr Caryna Turrell is Miss England 2014 and a public health physician from the University of Cambridge. Miss World 2024 Krystyna Pyszkova was also present. Julia Morley CBE, Chairwoman of Miss World, headed the jury.
Former Miss World Manushi Chhillar, actors Rana Daggubati and Namrata Shirodkar, too, attended the event. Telangana CM Revanth Reddy was also present along with actor and politician Chiranjeevi.
India hosted the Miss World pageant for the second consecutive year. The 71st edition of the pageant was held in Mumbai, where Krystyna Pyszkova of the Czech Republic had bagged the Miss World title.
