This order comes as people traveling in Lagos State complain about traffic jams caused by ongoing repairs to the Independence Bridge.

Just two days ago, the federal government announced it would close Independence Bridge starting April 1, 2025, for needed repairs.

Before this new order, drivers and travelers had asked the federal government to reopen the bridge to reduce traffic congestion.
