The Verderers have released details of all the animal accidents that occurred in the district in the weeks starting on December 15 and December 18.
A mare was injured at Burley Road Weirs, Brockenhurst, on December 10 and had to be humanely destroyed by one of the agisters.
Another was involved in a collision on the B3078 between Bramshaw Telegraph and Black Gutter on December 16 and was also put down.
A hit-and-run accident on the A31 at Emery Down on December also resulted in a pony being destroyed.
On the same day a pig was killed on B3079 at Lords Oak and a pony was injured at Main Road, East Boldre.
A donkey was hurt in an accident on the B3078 at Godshill on December 18 and a pony is thought to have been hit by a vehicle on the B3078 at Howen Bottom.
Searches were carried out but the animals could not be found.
