in this case you could substitute the first ‘s’ word for simple , and the gem still works fine
now since you are relying on a big volume spike as alert signal you might then investigate WHO is buying ( or selling )
folks seem to love BIG instos buying ( and HATE directors/founders selling ) however that can be over-simplistic , SOME instos ( openly ) admit to lending out the shares for extra profits ( usually to short-sellers ) so keeping an eye on a stocks ‘short positions ‘ might give you an extra edge , and SOME directors sell to conservative thinking investors that will hold them tightly
tiny edges to be sure , but if you can reduce bad outcomes …. for instance if i see Norges buying into a company .. i now stand well back and WATCH ( closely ) are they lending shares , building a position because a take-over is in the wind ( and they sell a block-trade into the take-over ) or what
yeah you expect that out of MQG ( i hold ) but a sovereign wealth fund !?!?
