Up to 29mm of rain has been falling today, making flooding highly possible, especially around rivers and streams, and a number of alerts have thus been issued.
Rain is set to continue until 4pm.

At Monks Brook in Eastleigh and Chandlers Ford, flooding could affect the recreation ground at Fleming Park, and the river will be very high at Kingfisher Road.
Surface water flooding in roads affecting Chandlers Ford and at Stoneham Way from Chestnut Way to the M27 is also possible.

A flood alert has also been issued for the River Blackwater from 5pm.
Flooding could affect land, fields, and roads at Cadnam, West Wellow, Landford and Ower. Water levels will also be very high around, and affect the mill building at East Wellow.
Property flooding is possible.
In the New Forest, the Lymington River is also under a flood alert.
Flooding could affect land and roads, including Burley Road, Brockenhurst.
The river will be bank full as it flows through Martin’s Road and Balmer Lawn Road, and may cause garden flooding at Balmer Lawn Road.
Property flooding is possible. In Lymington itself, the river will rise over the next 10 hours.
Drivers are advised to avoid driving through water splash areas in Brockenhurst.
Lower Avon and its tributaries are also under an alert. Areas most at risk include tributaries between Ringwood and Christchurch.
Flooding is forecast to affect low lying land and roads near rivers particularly around Moyles Court.
