The excitement from the 25th MILO Secondary Schools Basketball Championship continued to build at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja, where schools from nine states converged for the Central Conference semifinals.
Teams from Benue, FCT, Kaduna, Kebbi, Kogi, Nasarawa, Niger, Sokoto, and Plateau State showcased their talent and determination as they battled for a coveted spot in the national finals.

In the boys’ final, Father O’Connell Science College of Niger State secured a dominant 54–38 victory over Government Secondary School, Gwarimpa Life Camp from the FCT, booking their ticket to the national stage.
The girls’ final proved to be a tighter contest, with Government Secondary School, Karu (FCT) edging out Zarumai Model School, Minna (Niger State) in a nail-biting 33–28 finish.
With these results, Niger State and the Federal Capital Territory have successfully qualified to represent the Central region at the national finals.
The tournament now shifts to the next regional conference, as the journey toward the national trophy intensifies.
