Madrid v PSG Set to Spark FIFA Club World Cup Semifinals

The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup semifinals will provide exciting entertainment for football fans, especially the tie between Real Madrid against PSG. Los Blancos advanced into the semi after eliminating Borussia Dortmund, while Les Parisies beat Bayern Munich 2-0.

Madrid Beat Dortmund to Reach CWC Semifinals

Los Blancos continued their FIFA Club World Cup journey as they reached the semifinal stage after defeating Borussia Dortmund 3-2. Madrid started the game with strong determination and domination as they went 1-0 up after just 10 minutes through Gonzalo Garcia.

Madrid kept on pushing hard and eventually doubled their advantage ten minutes later, this time following a goal from Fran Garcia. Los Blancos looked to be easing their way to victory, but Dortmund suddenly made a late flurry.

The Bundesliga side pulled one goal back in stoppage time, through Maximillian Beier on 92 minutes. However, Kylian Mbappe restored Madrid’s two-goal advantage two minutes later with his excellent strike.

Dortmund still refused to give up, though, as they pulled another goal back, following Serhou Guirassy’s spot kick. That penalty kick also resulted in a sending-off for Madrid’s defender, Dean Huijsen, forcing his team to finish the game with 10 men.

Despite having to end the game with one man less, Madrid managed to hold down and secure the 3-2 victory.

PSG Take Down Bayern With 9 Men

Meanwhile, the reigning Champions League winner, Paris Saint-Germain, also made it through to the semifinal of the CWC. Luis Enrique’s men shut down Bayern Munich 2-0 in an exciting match in which both teams put on strong attacking performances.

After an eventful first 45 minutes, which ended goalless, PSG got their breakthrough on 78 minutes through Desire Doue’s shot. However, the wind seems to be switching as Enrique’s men went down to 10 men on 82 minutes.

Willian Pacho got a sending-off, putting PSG under enormous pressure from Bayern, who are searching for that equalising goal. Things got even tougher for the French side in stoppage time as Lucas Hernadez also saw red.

Nevertheless, despite having to finish the game with nine men, PSG somehow managed to seal the game with a second goal from Ousmane Dembele. That win now puts the French side closer to another prestigious title, after their recent UCL glory.

Unfortunately, that exciting game was blemished by the horrific injury that happened to Bayern star Jamal Musiala. Reports from Bild stated that Musiala might be out for 4-5 months due to a broken left fibula and several ligament damages.
