La Liga brought the drama and intensity of a watch party, treating hundreds of football fans to a live match viewing experience during the final El Clásico of the 2024/25 season.
The event featured a thrilling clash as Barcelona edged Real Madrid 4-3 in a dramatic comeback victory that pushed them closer to the La Liga title. The win marked Barcelona’s fourth El Clasico victory of the season, equalling their 1982/83 record.

The evening also saw the presence of top dignitaries from Spain, Nigerian celebrities, and former Super Eagles captain and La Liga ambassador Mutiu Adepoju, who hailed the spectacle and praised both teams for their fighting spirit.
“It was a fantastic Clásico, like the old days,” Adepoju said.
“Barcelona have been very effective and consistent throughout the season. They deserved the win and are worthy title contenders. It’s unfortunate they exited the Champions League, but they have shown great quality all season.”
Adepoju credited Barcelona manager Hansi Flick for the remarkable turnaround at the club since taking over at the start of the season.
“Flick brought a clear philosophy that the players understood. The team has been very cohesive, and they’ve had great players who delivered,” he said.
He also offered sympathy to Real Madrid, attributing their decline to injuries.
“They had a lot of injuries, and it affected their consistency. Last season they won all the Clásicos. This year, things just didn’t go their way.”
With current manager Carlo Ancelotti set to depart at the end of the season, Real Madrid are reportedly lining up Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso as his successor.
