Dillon Gabriel has emerged as the most active participant among the four quarterbacks vying for positioning.
Through OTAs and mandatory minicamp, the third-round draft pick has logged more reps than his competitors, suggesting the front office sees genuine long-term potential in the former Oregon signal-caller.
Head coach Kevin Stefanski recently offered insight into what makes Gabriel an intriguing prospect during a Cleveland Browns Daily interview.
“He’s got really great ability to ball handle, to put the ball out on a play action when it – looks like the run, pulls it back, it’s the pass. There’s a lot of skill to that. Now, he’s been coached really well in college, and I give him credit, and his coaches credit for that, but there’s a lot of nuance to that play action game and he’s trying to master it. He’s putting in the work. He’s a young player still coming along,” Stefanski said.

The Browns’ investment in Gabriel raised eyebrows across the league.
Most draft analysts projected him as a much later selection, making Cleveland’s third-round commitment a statement of confidence.
