“Joey was a sweet, gentle, caring, and loving boy. “

It is with heavy and deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Joseph Richard Saccone, Sunday, April 6, 2025 surrounded by his loving family at Boston Medical Center after a tragic motor vehicle accident at the young age of 18.
Son of Joseph C. Saccone and Nicole L. Saccone of East Bridgewater, Mass. Born in Brockton, Mass. on December 1, 2006, Joseph grew up in Whitman and attended Duval Elementary School and moved to East Bridgewater in 2019, and was eagerly anticipating his graduation this spring at E. Bridgewater JR/SR High School, class of 2025.
Joey was a sweet, gentle, caring, and loving boy. He loved spending time with family attending concerts, he loved his sister, Samantha Saccone so much and was so proud to be a big brother. He also loved his dog Shelby, playing video games/computer games, being with friends, and had a love for old school rap and writing/singing his own songs.
Joseph worked at Johnny Macaroni’s, and was so happy and always smiling and respectful around his co-workers. He even earned the nickname “The Brillo King” due to his love of cleaning the dish area.
Joseph is survived by his loving parents, Nicole Saccone and Joseph Saccone, and his devoted sister Samantha G. Saccone. He also leaves behind grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
Family and friends are invited to attend Joseph’s visiting hours from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, at the Blanchard’s Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Route 58 at the Rotary) Whitman, MA 02382. A funeral service will be held Monday, April 14, at 11 a.m. at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel.
