There are reports of Jhanak TV serial starring Hiba Nawab and Krushal Ahuja undergoing a major leap following dip in TRPs. Reports suggest that the makers will bring in new faces to take the story forward.
Jhanak TV serial starring Hiba Nawab and Krushal Ahuja was among the top five on TRP charts. However, over the past few weeks, the show has witnessed a major decline in the ratings. Now, there are rumours of show undergoing a leap. Though the makers haven’t confirmed as yet, but there are reports suggesting that soon Jhanak will take a leap of a few years. There is still a question mark on whether Hiba and Krushal will be retained in the show or not. However, here’s an update on the potential female lead post the leap.
As reported by entertainment news portal India Forums, actress Shiny Doshi has received a call from the makers to be a part of Jhanak. A source close has informed the portal that Shiny may be returning to TV with this show. A source said, “Jhanak has been heading for a leap and Shiny has been approached to be the new titular face.”
Before the IPL 2025 began, there were reports of Jhanak taking a leap. However, the current storyline prolonged and Jhanak and Aniruddha’s storyline got stretched forward. Back in February 2025, Hiba Nawab had informed that her journey with the show will come to an end post leap. To Etimes, she had revealed that the show is going to take a leap of 20 years. She mentioned that she was sad that she will be exiting the show but it maker’s call. She also added that she would be leaving the show as she won’t look convincing as a 45-year-old woman. “I had to exit the show because I would not look convincing as a 45-year old woman. I learnt a lot of skills while essaying the role of Jhanak. I am not a trained dancer but I had to play a very good dancer in the show and so it was tough looking perfect and giving several performances in the show.”
