In the Dock: Latest cases from Southampton Magistrates Court



JORDAN GEARY, 35, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to failing to provided a specimen for analysis having been suspected of committing an offence in Southampton on October 4. Also admitted assaulting a man on the same day. Remanded on conditional bail pending sentencing on February 4, 2026. While on bail, Geary is banned from entering The Star Hotel and Bar on the High Street and contacting the assault victim.

KLEVIS XHALILI, 28, of Shirley Road, pleaded guilty to drink driving while behind the wheel of an Audi on Winchester Road, Southampton on October 4. Disqualified from driving for 13 months, which can be reduced by 13 weeks if a course is undertaken by August 9, 2026. Also fined £346 and ordered to pay costs of £85.

PAWEL LIPIEC, 26, of Denmead Road, found guilty of failing to provide a specimen of blood for analysis when having been suspected of committing an offence in Southampton on May 12, 2024. Disqualified from driving for 12 months, fined £180, and ordered to pay court costs of £650 and a victim surcharge of £72.

DEAN NORRIS, 45, of HMP Winchester, pleaded guilty to seven counts of shoplifting after stealing more than £1,500 of items from stores in Southampton and Romsey over a two month period. According to court documents, the total value of items stolen was £1,507.55 and took place between August 6 and September 17. Five of the charges related to the theft of chocolate or confectionery from Co-op stores, totalling £834. Also jointly stole £443.35 of items from Boots in Southampton on August 6 and £230.20 of items from the same store on August 26. Remanded in custody ahead of sentencing at Southampton Crown Court.

ADAM BESTON, 34, of Tadburn Green, Romsey, pleaded guilty to two charges of stalking involving serious alarm or distress. He contacted a woman via text messages and Whatsapp on November 8, and between September 22 and October 29, messaged, called and followed the woman, as well as leaving gifts for her, which he knew or ought to have known would cause alarm or distress. Remanded in custody ahead of sentencing at Southampton Crown Court on January 5, 2026.
