Saif Ali Khan is currently in news because of his latest release – Jewel Thief. The movie that also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Kunal Kapoor and Nikita Dutta is streaming on Netflix. It released on March 25. The stars are on their toes promoting the movie and creating buzz for the same. Recently, Jaideep Ahlawat and Saif Ali Khan got into a conversation for Netflix India. The Pataal Lok actor donned the hat of a journalist to interview Saif Ali Khan. During the conversation, Saif Ali Khan mentioned that he apologised to son Taimur after making him watch one of the films.
Well, the film is Adipurush. The movie starred Saif Ai Khan as Ravana. Directed by Om Raut, the film had Prabhas as Lord Ram and Kriti Sanon as Maa Sita. It was reportedly made on a budget of Rs 700 crore. There were high expectations from the film but when it released, it received major backlash. The film faced major criticism for everything – story, direction, VFX, dialogues and more. It turned out to be a major box office dud. And it also became a reason for Saif Ali Khan to apologise to his son Taimur.
When Jaideep Ahlawat asked Saif Ali Khan whether his sons watch his movies, the actor stated that he made Taimur watch Adipurush and apologised. “I just showed him Adipurush recently. Then, after sometime, he started giving me a look. So I said ‘Yeah, sorry’. He said, ‘it’s okay’. He forgave me,” said Saif. The answer left Jaideep Ahlawat in splits. Saif’s revelation has made headlines in entertainment news. The actor also spoke about his children understanding that their parents are superstars. He mentioned that the kids are used to it growing up and hoped that they understand that their parents are down-to-earth, normal people.
Talking about Jewel Thief, the movie has received mixed reviews from the audience. While the performances of the stars have been lauded, not many are impressed with the predictable storyline of the movie.
