The Huntsman in Brockenhurst is known for its local seasonal produce and incredible array of drinks options, and attracts people from all over the world to stay in its 13 comfy rooms.
The pub has been completely refurbished and upgraded since it was acquired by Young’s Pubs two years ago, a first move into the New Forest spearheaded by Boyd Collins and Anna Seacombe, one of the London pub group’s most successful management pairs, who wanted to move closer to family in Sway and Lymington.

Since taking over the 18th Century pub 15 months ago, Boyd and Anna have increased profits by between 35 and 40 per cent, no mean feat in a difficult climate for hospitality.
Boyd told the Daily Echo: “People are wary about how and where they spend their money so they rightly have high expectations. We’re a premium pub and we have something for everyone.”
The Huntsman is now attracting a perfect mix of visitors to the New Forest and returning locals, who didn’t like the pub’s change of name in 2016, and Boyd and Anna are even hoping to soon return it to The Rose and Crown.

Away from the incredibly popular grill menu, summer set menu and popular Sunday roasts, the outdoor kitchen has been serving up fish and chips, burgers and fresh salads including Isle of Wight tomatoes, salmon and mackerel.
The quiz is always popular and the skittle alley and other private event spaces have been doing a roaring trade in parties, weddings, socials, corporate events and get togethers.
The pub, believed to be the second or third building built in Brockenhurst as a manor house, is also dog friendly.
