How the song ‘Favour room’ brought me to limelight – Gospel singer Amarachi Joy

Date:

Amarachi Joy Mbakwe, who started her gospel music career two decades ago with two popular albums, is still waxing strong in the music industry.

She recently released a new song titled ‘God of the Prophet’ that has garnered massive streaming on music platforms.

Armed with a husband who is a veteran in Gospel music, Amarachi Joy started her music journey in 2006 when she released her first album.

She officially joined the music industry with the release of her first song: “Akarakam,” but it was the “Favour Room” Song that announced her to gospel music lovers.

The singer also released three songs recently, including “See How Beautiful Jesus Can Be,” which portrays the whole essence of Christ; His kind heart, love and sacrifice, which is where his beauty lies.

The song also celebrates the resurrection of Christ, which also captures the beauty of Jesus.

Commenting on the songs, the mother of three said: “When you listen to the song, you will find that I poured out my heart after several real-time encounters.”

The second song is “Onye dika Chi”, which worships and praises the name of God, raising his name to the highest pedestal that has ever existed.

According to her: “God is full of love and forever forgiving, regardless of how sinful or dark our hearts might be. He is a force we have not seen but believe I, and miracles abound, which is a testament to His graciousness. I have had so many revelations of names to call him, and these names are innumerable and inexhaustible. In man’s eyes, you may not be enough or qualified, but with God, you’re a winner. That was why I took time in that song to shower Him with praise from my little knowledge.”

“My third song is “God of the prophets.” We have preachers, prophets, pastors, apostles and others, but everyone works according to the ordination of God, so that everything aligns to His plans. Many people call to ask me how I came about the song, and I always tell them it was a revelation from God. It is not my doing. I get songs from dreams, and from hearing voices, as well as during prayers. When you listen to the song, you would testify because these are spiritual and powerful songs that will reveal more of who God is and it is something everyone should listen to.”

When asked to mention her top five songs, Amarachi listed “Akarakam,” which means my destiny, followed by “Favour Room” which is the one that announced her to my target audience.

She said the song was divine and it embodied the true struggles of childbirth and why “Labour room” should be exchanged with “Favour room.”

“When I sang the song, I was pregnant with my first child, and it was a good inspiration for women all over the world because no woman deserves to lose her life or her child during childbirth. So, this was the song that brought me to the limelight in 2006. The third song is “Jesus My Comforter,” which touched lives. Another is “Favour Room special and Favour Room Vol. 2,” she added.
