Noisy motorbikes have terrorised residents as far away as Netley, with those living in Centenary Quay previously launching a petition to demand more action.
Hampshire police now say that ‘nuisance vehicle use’ is the ‘top priority’ for its Peartree and Woolston neighbourhood officers after an increase in reports of anti-social behaviour.
They responded to a report of anti-social vehicle use in a residential car park in Woolston last night and found a motorcyclist driving around the car park without a helmet.

Once looked into further, they discovered that the rider of the bike did not have a licence or insurance, and they were given a ticket for both of these offences.
This means that the rider now has six points on his licence before he has even acquired it.
A spokesperson for Hampshire police said: “Peartree and Woolston neighbourhood officers have previously warned motorcycle users that driving in an anti-social manner in the locality will not be permitted and strong action will be taken to prevent this.
“If you are aware of any vehicles being used in such a manner please contact us via our website or 101.”
