Galatasaray vice president expresses impatience with Victor Osimhen over transfer decision
Turkish Süper Lig champions Galatasaray have issued an ultimatum to Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, as the club’s patience wears thin regarding his future.
Osimhen, who spent the 2024/25 season on loan with the Yellow and Reds, was instrumental in their Süper Lig and Turkish Cup triumphs, scoring 37 goals and providing eight assists in 41 appearances across all competitions for Okan Buruk’s side.

According to reports from Fanatik, via TMW, Galatasaray has already reached an agreement with Napoli regarding the transfer fee for Osimhen.
However, a lack of response from the player’s camp is now testing the Turkish giants. Galatasaray is keen to sign the powerful striker on a permanent transfer and has submitted a comprehensive proposal to his representatives.
Abdullah Kavukcu, Galatasaray’s vice president, openly expressed his frustration, stating, “He’s making us wait, but time is running out. We’ve offered him figures higher than those proposed in Europe.”
The reports indicate that the Turkish club has informed Osimhen’s entourage that if they are still genuinely interested in a deal, they must come to the negotiating table after the summer holidays. This suggests a firm deadline, pushing for a final decision on the player’s much-debated future.
Osimhen’s loan spell was exceptionally successful, with 26 goals in 30 league games alone, helping Galatasaray finish 11 points clear of rivals Fenerbahce and lift the domestic title.
Osimhen, currently vacationing in Nigeria, has acknowledged the speculation and recently stated that he would decide on his future soon.
