Opal Suchata Chuangsri was officially crowned Miss World Thailand 2025 on April 22. The news was announced by Tero Entertainment and TPN Global. This started a new and interesting chapter in Opal’s journey in the Miss World Thailand pageant.

She had reportedly undergone surgery at 16 to remove a benign breast lump. She also launched the “Opal For Her” campaign to make people aware of breast health awareness and early detection.

Opal in Miss Universe 2024 competition

In the Miss Universe 2024 competition, Opal Suchata Chuangsri reached the top 5 finalists. She bagged the 3rd place.

Organization withdraws Opal

The Miss Universe Organization had reportedly withdrawn the Miss Universe 2024 third runner-up title from Suchata Opal Chuangsri of Thailand. Reason? Due to breach of contract.

Miss Universe Organization’s statement

In a statement that was released on its official website on April 22, the organization mentioned that they had discovered that TPN Global, the organizer behind Miss Universe Thailand, did not follow the protocols set by the National Directors.

Organization’s statement reads

“We have discovered that TPN Global did not comply with the protocols set by the National Directors (ND) by sending a Miss Universe Queen to participate in another pageant before completing her reign. We deeply regret any incidents where these actions have violated our internal protocols and expectations,” the statement read.

Role of a Miss Universe winner

While putting stress on the role of a Miss Universe winner, the organization added that the title is “not only an honor but also a responsibility that requires dedication and respect for the commitments agreed upon.”

Withdraw third runner-up title

With this, Miss Universe made the decision to withdraw the third runner-up title from Opal. While the organization did not put out Opal’s name in its statement, she was named the third runner-up at the Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico a few months ago in November.

Thailand’s Opal Suchata Chuangsri bagged the 72nd Miss World title. She was crowned by Miss World 2024 Krystyna Pyszkova during the finale held at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Telangana on May 31.
