For the second year in a row, completion of the ‘Double’ evades Kyle Larson

For the second year in a row, Kyle Larson will not complete all 1100 miles of the Indianapolis 500-Coca-Cola 600 “Double.”

Tony Stewart will continue to stand alone as the only driver to finish all 600 laps and 1100 miles that the Indy-Charlotte double entails after Larson crashed out of the Indianapolis 500.

In 2024, a lengthy rain delay in Indianapolis forced Larson to miss the start of the Coca-Cola 600. While he finished 18th and on the lead lap at Indianapolis, he was unable to turn a single lap in the Coke 600 due to rain that ended the race at Charlotte early.

On Sunday, however, it was an error by Larson that will keep him from the history books.
