Musa Ahmed Mohammed, the Accountant General of Nasarawa State has called on Christians across the state to use the Easter period to offer prayers for the administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule.
In a goodwill message he signed and made available to Journalists on Sunday in Lafia to mark the Easter celebration, Mohammed emphasised the importance of peace, unity, and divine guidance for the continued progress of the state.
He described Easter as a season of sacrifice, hope, and renewal, urging Christians to reflect on the values demonstrated by Jesus Christ, especially love, humility, and selflessness.
Mohammed stated that these values are not only central to the Christian faith but are also essential for building a more united and prosperous Nasarawa State.
While congratulating Christians on the successful completion of the Lenten season, he encouraged them to use the occasion to seek God’s wisdom and blessings for leaders at all levels, particularly Governor Sule, whom he described as a visionary and dedicated leader.
He noted that the governor’s policies and programs are geared toward sustainable development and improving the welfare of citizens.
According to the former two-term speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly, the administration has made significant progress in areas such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, and youth empowerment, which should be supported by prayers and collective efforts from all residents of the state.
He maintained that with unity and faith, the state will overcome any challenges it faces.
Mohammed also appealed for continued tolerance and peaceful coexistence among the diverse religious and ethnic groups in Nasarawa, stressing that harmony is a vital ingredient for development.
He added that every citizen has a role to play in maintaining peace and supporting government initiatives.
He concluded by wishing all Christians a joyous and spiritually fulfilling Easter celebration, and urged them to extend the message of hope and compassion beyond the season. “Christians should use this period to pray for our leaders, for our state, and for a better Nigeria,” he said.
