A Stone Mountain woman wanted for embezzling $500,000 from her Dunwoody employer over the period of two years is now in custody, but her co-conspirator remains at large.
Dunwoody police reported on April 29 that Felicia Kelley, 48, has been charged with computer forgery and theft by deception. The woman who is accused of assisting her in the embezzlement scheme, Nicole Allen, 45, has not been arrested nor turned herself into authorities.
According to Dunwoody Police Spokesman Sgt. Michael Cheek, Kelley, who worked at a payroll company located in the city, was authorized as part of her job duties to pay vendors. However, Kelley allegedly created a separate account where she diverted money, and marked the invoices as paid.
Kelley then allegedly funneled the money to Allen, according to Cheek, over a period of two years from March 2022 to August 2024. The company noticed the discrepancies in December and alerted authorities.

In other news, a suspect accused of critically injuring another man after a late-night altercation at a Dunwoody restaurant is now in custody.
Cheek said the suspect, identified as Sheldon Mayers, 44, of Chamblee, who was frequenting The Bird on Ashford Dunwoody Road around 2:20 a.m on April 25, approached a man and woman, and made inappropriate, “flirty” comments to the woman. A physical altercation between the victim and the suspect broke out, with other people in the establishment getting involved in the fracas.
All the involved parties were asked to leave the establishment, and while the victim and his girlfriend were crossing the parking lot, Mayers allegedly struck him while driving a silver BMW X6. The vehicle then fled the scene.
The man was seriously injured and transported to Grady Hospital, where he remains in stable but critical condition, Cheek said.
According to DeKalb Jail records, Mayers, who was arrested on April 30, is charged with aggravated battery, hit-and-run causing serious injury or death, and aggravated assault. It appears from the jail records that he remains in custody.
