Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom has issued Stern warning to state commissioners and political appointees to defect with him to the All Progressives Party (APC) or resign their appointments.
The Governor, who issued the directive during an EXCO meeting Thursday said his decision to dump the PDP was final.
”Anyone who claims he is not aware of my intention to leave the PDP is living in the 18th century’ he declared.
He said his admiration of President Tinubu’s leadership style has influenced his decision to align with the APC.
“Apart from elected officers like the members of the state House Of and elected local government councils, I have nothing to negotiate with you. Follow me or resign,” he said.

He warned those who might consider staying back in the PDP to oppose him.
“Let me tell you, anybody who who believes when I leave the PDP, he will use the party structure to fight me is lying because I will still control the PDP structure,” he added.
It is gathered that some Commissioners, who are loyal to the former Governor Udom Emmanuel may not follow the Governor to the APC.
