Popular Bollywood actress Chitrangada Singh recently addressed her limited appearances in Bollywood during a media interaction. Known for her role in movies like Desi Boyz, Chitrangada Singh is now set to appear in the fifth installment of the Housefull franchise alongside actors Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Abhishek Bachchan.
At the launch event of Housefull 5, a media person highlighted that despite her impressive acting talent and massive potential, the actress has appeared in a limited number of films. In response, Chitrangada explained that she is repeatedly offered similar roles, which is not what she is seeking. The Desi Boyz actress stated, “Sometimes you don’t get the work you want to do, you are not fortunate enough to get it. It is not like I don’t get offered work, but it is the seductress or whatever, just like the same thing coming back to you. It also depends on the quality of work you are looking for, the people you want to work with. It is a bit of both.”
On a positive note, the actress is now being seen in a variety of projects, with one of her latest works being Netflix’s Khakee: The Bihar Chapter. Her next project, Housefull 5, is being touted as India’s most expensive and unique comedy film to date, promising a twist at the end.
During the interaction, another paparazzi even commented on Chitrangada’s outfit, telling her she reminded him of her popular song “Allah Maaf Kare” from Desi Boyz. The actress quickly replied, “Allah Maaf, ab Laal Pari yaad aana chahiye,” subtly promoting her new song from Housefull 5.
